Germ was a choreographic work created in 2005 at the Chocolate Factory by Daria Faïn in collaboration with poet/architect Robert Kocik, composer Kenta Nagai, visual artist Catarina Verde, and light designer Thomas Dunn. Fascinated by the process of how things form, especially at the moment of inception, the work exposes the power and the process of fertilization as a form. It is framed as a rite of spring, polarizing the fragile and powerful stage of breaking through containment as a biological, emotional and kinetic force.
