Chinese Inner Alchemy Basics
6 Healing Sounds or Transforming Stress into Vitality.
Emotions are stored in our organs and affect our health and perception of ourselves and others.
With this simple meditation, we learn how to transform emotional obstructions into healing dynamics.
Inner Smile
This meditation cultivates our physical essence by directing heart-mind power into our navel and belly.
The process is a setting meditation where we bring the virtues of each of the five principal organs down in the lower part of your body.
“In ancient China, the Taoists taught that a constant inner smile to oneself ensured health, happiness, and longevity. Why? Smiling to yourself is like basking in love: you become your own best friend. Living with an inner smile is to live in harmony with yourself." Mantak Chia also explains that as a sickness starts from negative emotions settling in the organs, the inner smile breaks this cycle. “By transforming destructive emotions into positive energy, the inner smile removes the cause and symptoms of disharmony.”
Microcosmic Orbit
When the Inner Smile has generated enough energy in the lower tan tian, this energy is charged with healing power that we can circulate in the body.
In this case, we circulate this energy between the body's front and back by bringing two primary yin and yang meridians (functional and governor) to balance and encase it.
These two meridians then feed all the other meridians as a reservoir pouring into rivers.
